My Wii/Xbox 360 video-game collection currently stands at:
Wii: 2 Wii Remotes, 2 Nunchucks, Wii Sports, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, WarioWare: Smooth Moves, Mario Party 8, Super Paper Mario, Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, Pokemon Battle Revolution, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Strikers, Trauma Center: Second Opinion, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart 64, and Paper Mario.
Xbox 360: 2 wireless controllers, 1 DDR Pad, Dead Rising, Saints Row, WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2007, Gears of War, Viva Pinata, Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, Dance Dance Revolution Universe, Burnout Revenge, Kameo: Elements of Power, Crackdown, The Orange Box, Geometry Wars, Assault Heroes, Uno, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Jetpack: Refuelled, and Boom Boom Rocket.
It seems like I have a bit more Xbox 360 games than Wii… but I still prefer the Wii over my 360 atm, mainly due to Super Smash Bros. Brawl. In fact, if it wasn't for Banjo-Kazooie 3, I would have sold my 360 a long time ago. I don't like how faulty the console is (sometimes, mostly all the time, the disc tray will get stuck) and having to pay for it's online service. It's like the PS2 of this generation: good games, faulty console.
The only game I've been playing (aside from Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie) is Super Smash Bros Brawl. In my last blog, I already said how awesome it is so I don't have to say it again. Anyhoo, here's my "To Get List" as of March 30th, 2008:
Mario Kart Wii – April 27th
I'm not eintirelly sure about this game. It looks less frantic than Double Dash, which is what I really like about a Mario Kart game. Double Dash is a party game. Mario Kart Wii looks more like a pick up and play Mario Kart you play with your parents and siblings. Some removed modes (most notably, FREEKIN BOB-OMB BLAST) might make this game not as enjoyable as Double Dash. Also, VS play is teams only… I'll try my best to enjoy this game…
Grand Theft Auto IV – April 29th
This game is going to rock, hands down. My Xbox Live subscription runs out on the last week of April (good timing) and I will buy a month subscription, just to see how online play works on GTA IV. I'm more interested in the single player experience, though.
Metal Gear Solid 4 – June 12
Ooooh, didn't see this coming, eh? I'll be buying the PS3 MGS4 Bundle in June, for about $500. I have 3 good reasons, 1.) I really want a PS3, 2.) I really want to play Metal Gear Solid 4, and 3.) The bundle is really cheap, considering what comes in the bundle. I'll buy more PS3 games too like Warhawk so I won't be buying a $450 system for only 1 game.
– Battlefield: Bad Company – June 23rd
I think it's cool how BC will focus on the single player more this time around… but why must EA have to make us PAY FOR GUNS online? It's ridiculous where Downloadable Content is leading too… or maybe this is just an EA thing.
Soulcalibur IV – June 24th
It's Soul Calibur. It has Cassandra. I'm good.
Mercenaries 2: World in Flames
Yup.
– Gears of War 2 – November
Yup.
Banjo-Kazooie – Christmas
*waits*
TBA Titles (Possibly 2009):
– Resident Evil 5
That's pretty much all I have to say…
