Over the past few months, I watched a lot of movies. Here's a list of the movies I remembered watching along with a short review.

The Shawshank Redemption – I always heard people talk about how The Sawshank Redemption is one of the greatest movies ever made. Usually I don't let other people's opinions get in the way of what I watch, so I watched this so-called masterpiece with an open mind. After watching, I can honestly say The ShawShank Redemption is indeed one of the best movies I've seen. What The Shawshank Redemption manages to do really well is set the atmosphere. I felt like I was part of the inmates when small things happened, such as hearing music for the first time in years. The top-notch acting and the inspiring story makes The Shawshank Redemption a true masterpiece. 10/10

City of Ember – One of my friends suggested I should watch this movie, which coinsidently has Tim Robbins (star of Shawshank) as a supporting character. The story was okay. The action scenes were something to be desired. I got a good laugh out of Bill Murray. Something about him is hilarious. It could be the fact that he played a corrupt mayor, which reminded me of the No One Will Ever Believe You stories. The ending felt forced and not very inspiring but it was nice. 6.5/10

Transformers 2 – Why did I watch this? It was 2 and a half hours of boredom. The plot was terrible. The action scenes were just pieces of metal flying everywhere. Before watching, I already knew it was going to blow (directed by Michael Bay) and how much Bay loves explosions, so I bought chocolate raisonettes and ate 1 raisonette for every explosion. I finished the whole box. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen… not my forté. 0/10

Valkaryie – Watched about 30 minutes. Didn't get to watch it all since it was at a friends house and we're lucky to even finish a movie over there. The comfort of my home is usually the best choice for a cinematic experiece of my leisure. I never had the will to finish watching Valkaryie. Maybe someday.

Ed Edd n Eddy Movie – Same cartoon I loved watching. Same laughs. Same Eds. I loved it. Nostalgia/10 (Coinsidently, it's finally going to air in America this Friday).

The Princess Bride – I started watching this movie at school this year but the bell rang before it ended. I finally got around to watch it and, if I ever finished watching in cIass it would have been the best movie I've seen at school. The Princess Bride – filled with hilarious (intended) cliches, a calming soundtrack (Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits), and a story of love that I approve (I dislike forced love stories in movies). 9/10

Brüno – Haha gay/dick jokes. Good movie though. Had me laughing. 7/10

Race to Witch Mountain – Uhhh… The Rock + Annasophia Robb… yeeeeeah… 5/10 (points for another movie where Annasophia Robb holds a dog for half of the movie).

The Breakfast Club – A ****c movie I finally got around to watch. I loved the characters but disliked the ending. Forced kissing that made no sense? In the movie biz, that's what they like to call a "make-out" scene. Awkward with friends and family, but the perfect excuse to lean in for a kiss during a date. 8.5/10

Ocean's Twelve – Not better than Ocean's Eleven (which I really liked). It's a nice take for a sequel but isn't as memorable. 7/10

Fight Club – I got to see what the big hub-bub about this movie was. I never read the novel but after seeing Fight Club, I really want to. The beginning is a bit slow but from the middle to end, it's awsomely violent and very thought provoking. 9.5/10

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind – 75% of the movie takes place in a dream. F**kwin! Eternal Sunshine is a feel good movie about how love will always find it's way. Really nice. The casting makes it so much better. 9.5/10

Ocean's Thirteen – A huge improvement over Ocean's Twelve. It used the same formula from Eleven (such as having a scene with an actual plan), and pulled it off nicely. I liked it. Good way to end a trilogy. 8/10

Coraline – Really fun to watch. The animation was done beautifully. 8.5/10

I'm getting lazy. Short reviews now.

Disturbia – Okay. Funny at times (even when something unfunny happens). 6.5/10

Phone Booth – Edge-of-your-seat suspenseful. 9/10

Shaun of the Dead – Hah. 8/10

Hot Fuzz – Haha. 8/10

Run Fatboy Run – Heh. 6.5/10

Run Lola Run – Indy goodness. This movie was like.. art in motion. I loved the editing. 9.5/10

Superbad – A movie about my friends. 8/10

Juno – It was okay. 7/10

Atonement – It was okay. A bit boring for my own good during the falling action. 6.5/10

The Pursuit of Happyness – Man, it sucks to be Will Smith. 7/10

Breakfast at Tiffany's – Watched it for Audrey Hepburn. She gets a 10/10.

Inglorious Basterds – I love you, Tarantino. 9.5/10

Stark Raving Mad – Straight to DVD? This movie was great! 8/10

Kill Bill (both Volumes) – *head explodes from sheer awesomeness* 10/10

Teeth – Wow. You indy folks are crazy. 8.5/10

The Cube – Before chaining up people by their leg with nothing but a saw blade, we had cubes. 8.5/10

Saw 6 – It blew. 3/10

Paranormal Activity – Low budget goodness. 7.5/10
